Paint

    :D Hello!
    I would like to repaint the frame of my TT.
    Has anybody got the correct paintnumber?
    I guess it's the standard white framepaint but I have no number.
    And I have already found out that white is not alwas white... :cry:

    I´m sorry, but i do only know the red colour: it´s RAL3002.
    But I guess if you go to a shop and take a sample with you, you can compare the different "whites" and will find the right one!

    where are you from?

    The elder TT-models were sold with red frames.
    Yours must be one of ´89 or younger (ask Ztein).

    Ask your lokal Yamaha Dealer or General Distributor for the correct yam. colour code (they have their own system).

    RAL- Numbers would be quite useless, as it seems to be a German only

    I live in Belgium and my TT is a 1991 type.
    We also use the RAL codes for paint here in Belgium, you know.
    Compairing the whites is alsmost impossible since there are so many different shades in white. My dealer couldn't (didn't want..) help me out.
    I have put my hopes on this forum.

    There i must emol ask:
    Do you want to varnish the whole frame or just parts of it?
    Shurely there are different shapes of white colour, but on my 600TT which also is white, somebody took a paintbrush and repaintet the damaged spots. Doesn´t look to bad anyway, but if you´re going to get the whole frame recoloured, I wouldn´t care about comparisons. Take the colour/White you like and ready...
